A new Science Centre at Goa
The latest in the chain of science centres in India the Goa Science Centre was opened to public on 19th December 2001 spreading over an area of five acres of land, the Centre comprises a science park, exhibition on 'ocean science' 'giants from the backyard' and 'fun science exhibits'. The Centre is located in the picturesque Miramar area of Panjim.

News on Science Centers of Tamil Nadu  
Periya Science & Technology Centre in Chennai has 8 galleries on themes viz. physical science, transport, electronics & communication, energy, material science, life science, innovation and Periyar teaching swiht about 600 exhibits. Besides, there are innovative parks like science park, traffic park, model meteorological observatory, energy park and eco park. A gallery on Information Technology with interactive exhibits has been envisaged with a project outlay of Rs. 30 lakh.

 

B M Birla Planetorium, Chennai

Anna Science Centre is envisaged in Tiruchirapalli region at a cost of Rs. 4 crore in a 10 acre plot of land. There are plans to set up two more Science Centres at Vellore and Coimbatore. All these activities in Tamilnadu are organised under the umbrella of Tamilnadu Science & Technology Centre.
